 1. Start with an egg shape (figure 1). 2. Gently draw a horizontal line at a halfway point between the top of this egg shape and the chin (figure 2 - one half). This will be the position of the eyes and help locate the tops of the ears. 3. Gently draw another horizontal line halfway between the first line and the chin (figure 2 - half of a half). This is the location of the end of the nose. 4. Gently draw a third horizontal line between the second line (half of a half) and the chin (figure 2 - half of a half of a half). This is the location of the mouth. 5. Gently draw a vertical line down through the center of the egg (figure 2 - center). 6. Add lines to define the location of the eyes, ears, nose, and mouth (figure 2). 7. Give the face some hair and define the eyes and mouth (figure 3). 8. Add eyebrows, some shading, complete the hair and remove unnecessary lines. This could be better but this is the general idea. |
