The next day, after school, the oldest pig went home and continued building his brick house. The other two pigs had followed him home from school and stood on the sidewalk watching their older brother working. After a while, they said "Why don't you take a break and come with us? We are going to go to the movies to see `Shrek'." "I must finish this house and I have no time to play. I want to be safe and warm in my own home by the weekend." So the two brothers went off to the movies and the oldest pig kept working.

All three pigs showed up at their mother's house around dinner time, just to tell her about their new homes, of course, and allowed themselves to be persuaded to eat dinner with her. The mother just smiled her odd little smile and listened to the adventures of her boys.

The next morning, all three pigs showed up late for school! One of them had forgotten to make himself a lunch and couldn't find his lunchbox which he had left in his friend's car even though his mom had tried very hard to teach him to put his school things away right after he got home after school. The second pig had overslept and his friend had tried and tried to wake him but had finally given up and gone to school without him. The third pig had worked until so late at night that he had fallen asleep outside so he hadn't heard his alarm clock buzzing. He had only woken up when the newspaper boy had accidentally thrown his newspaper and hit him on the head with it!

After school, the two brothers had watched as the oldest pig finished his house. They had been snickering and giggling at him because he had taken so long to finish making his house. Both of them thought he was being way too picky about his house being made from bricks instead of straw or sticks which were so much easier to build a house with.

That night, all three little pigs and the mother pig watched on the news where it was said that a Mr. Big B. Wolf had moved in near where the pigs lived and how his neighbor, Mr. Baaaa had suddenly disappeared. Mr. Wolf denied he knew anything about his neighbors' whereabouts, but the news reporter snorted at him and insinuated that Mr. Wolf knew more than he was telling. The mother pig decided it might be time to check on her little pig sons, but it was very late at night and she decided to wait until morning.

In the meantime, as all of the pig family was getting ready for bed, the first little pig heard a knock at his door Who is it??" he called. "Just a poor, lost neighbor who needs to use your phone." Was the reply. "Why can't you use your cell phone?" asked the pig. "The battery is dead", said the voice. "I left it on overnight."

The little pig, even though his mother had told him again and again to never open the door to strangers, opened the door to find the wolf, Mr. B. Wolf, on his doorstep! The pig was so frightened that he just stood staring at the wolf until he saw the fangs he had. Then he ran out the back door as fast as his chubby legs would go and hurried to the second pig's house of sticks. No sooner had he closed the door behind him when he heard a very loud knocking at the door. The second pig, looking confused by his brother's sudden appearance at his house, said "Who is it?" "It's the police!" said a very gruff voice. "Let me in right this instant! Your brother is in very big trouble and if you don't want to be in trouble as well, you'll open this door right now!"
