God speaks to us through his creations. There are lessons whispering into my eyes, speaking to my fingertips...
The flowers with their various colors, shapes and scents tell me of diversity and gentle strength, and that there is power in our differences.
The towering trees boast of patience and perserverance, their height not reached quickly, their majesty achieved with age.
The clouds communicate the care that He has for us, always taking care of us in ways that we seldom acknowledge. The shelter and rain they bring absolutely necessary and rarely appreciated.
The sun's rays carry the warmth of His love, speeding it to us daily, washing our world in its brilliance.
The stars winking at me with joy in their eyes, and the moon smiling its gentle light in a dark world, both to remind me to take the troubles of this world lightly, and promising a new day to come.
A bird flies by and I hear a message of hope and possibilities in its swooping passage.
The wind is whispering temperance to me, and control. The cooling of its breeze a reinforcement of its words.
And who can miss the salvation in the scent of a rose? It's sweetness bringing a refreshing to the mind and spirit, trying in its simple way to mimic the renewing of the soul.
I hear all of God's creations together in a symphony of God's Love, singing into my senses the song of salvation and peace.
What will you hear the next time you smell a rose or gaze at the clouds? It is my prayer that you hear the song of love God is singing for us all.
