Arthur Secret: "Agora, for those who cannot be in the Arena"
Agora is a World-Wide Web email browser, designed to help people without full access to the Internet.
The development of the Agora Perl script appears to have stopped in 1997 but the line-mode browser 'engine' libwww continued to develop at the w3c until 2002. Refer to the Help file, or just give an agora server a test run by sending an email to agora@dna.affrc.go.jp with only one word within the body of the message, the word "help" (no quote marks). Signatures at the end of the text may confuse Agora when it 'reads' your message, I recommend turning the signature OFF.
If you are only interested in using email retrieval of information expita.com is the authoritive collection of information. A bit overwhelming when you take your first look at all that is there but a worthwhile read.
If you are interested in installing the Agora Perl code and libwww 'engine' onto your server the location of the libwww packages is a bit difficult to locate within the w3c pages. To get libwww try here: http://www.w3.org/Library/Distribution/ for web browser access or here: ftp://ftp.w3.org/pub/libwww/ for FTP access.
