DOS   W31   WFWG

Support for MSDOS, PCDOS, DRDOS, OpenDOS, FreeDOS, PTSDOS, Windows 3.1 (W31), WFWG, and even CPM v2.2.

2150+ external links, tutorials, and reviews of DOS software will help you find free downloads of software to use with DOS, W31, and WFWG to access the Internet using DOS packet drivers or the 16 bit WINSOCK, DOS and W31 browsers, DOS and W31 telnet, and DOS MSKermit. There is an index to Microsoft free DOS, W31, and WFWG updates files and a selection of links to the more useful of these upate files linked here for MSDOS, W31, and WFWG. We even have links to the free professionally written Caldera emulation of CPM v2.2 here.

Use MSDOS, PCDOS, DrDOS, OpenDOS, FreeDOS, PTSDOS, W31, and WFWG to create your own graphics, tweak Windows memory management and DOS low memory and upper memory configuration, do routine maintenance, free downloads of previously commercial DOS compilers and assemblers, and do anything that is done with newer hardware and software. The legacy MSDOS, PCDOS, DrDOS, OpenDOS, FreeDOS, PTSDOS, W31 and WFWG will often do it faster than bloated newer software and for free!

When we are in trouble and need an easy to use OS to bail us out we will look for our DOS disks. DOS will be the 'ghost' in our machines. MSDOS, PCDOS, DrDOS, OpenDOS, FreeDOS and now PTSDOS have been and continue to be the work horse that maintain our machines, performs our routine tasks, and powers many 'rescue boot disks' that save our bacon. The legacy of DOS is speed and access to our hardware anytime we need that access.
